Health benefits of living in Thailand

Whilst the West boasts the best medical care in the world, we do see more and more people needing to use the facilities that are available there. On the whole people seem to get sicker much more easily in the West, than here in Thailand, even though Thailand is a third world country. This page explores some of the reasons why this is the case.

workWork Work

Many people in the West hate their jobs. Whilst their job may pay a really good salary they go to work only for that salary and dread doing so.In this manner their job is essentially killing them.Whilst jobs here in Thailand pay a fraction of what you can earn back home, the way in which we are expected to work is far, far more relaxed than back in the West.

Stress

Stress is a major factor in the deterioration of people’s health back in the West. Many people unfortunately only notice that they are stressed when it is too late and their health is already very seriously affected. Here in Thailand the way of life is much more relaxed. Stress is virtually unheard of.Whilst your job here in Thailand will probably pay less than back home, your outgoings will undoubtedly be a fraction of anywhere in the West. Put quite simply; if you have less money worries you have less stress and if you have less stress your health will benefit.

hospitalHospitals

Going to hospital in Thailand once upon a time would have struck fear into the heart of anyone. That was a long time ago and Thailand now boasts some of the best medical care in Asia. Most doctors in Bangkok hospitals learned their trade in America, speak English fluently and are amongst the best doctors in the world. If you do live in Thailand ensure you have good medical insurance and it is paid on time every year or month. The last thing that anyone wants to have to face is the prospect of a lengthy and costly stay in hospital if you are uninsured.
Hopefully you will never need to use it, but insurance is definitely one thing that is better to have and not need than to need and not have.

Climate

It can definitely be argued that the climate in Thailand is better for a human being’s health. Whilst it may get too hot sometimes, during the hot and rainy seasons, on the whole we feel better when we are warm.
If you are originally from any north European country then you will undoubtedly know what it feels like to be painfully cold.
Being constantly warm beats that feeling hands down, and makes most of us feel much healthier.
These are all factors which make living in Thailand not only more enjoyable, but probably healthier too!
